Following high levels of demand, the entry deadline for the Startups Awards 2014 has been extended to Friday 26 September; giving inspiring UK start-ups an extra two weeks to get their entries in.<\/p>\n

Now in its 11th year, the Startups Awards<\/a> celebrates the country’s most exciting and  disruptive new businesses launched in the last three years and has amassed a reputation for identifying companies that have gone on to become major UK brands.<\/p>\n

Previous winners include The Cambridge Satchel Company, Notonthehighstreet.com, Secret Escapes, and Naked Wines.<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Simply Business, the 2014 awards is set to be the “biggest yet” with 15 awards on offer including Product Business of the Year and Mumpreneur of the Year, as well as two new categories for 2014 –Independent Shop of the Year and Restaurant of the Year.<\/p>\n

Open to UK companies launched on or after August 1 2011, the awards will be judged by 21 leading names from the business world including Laura Tenison MBE of  JoJo Maman Bébé, Paul Lindley of Ella’s Kitchen, Justine Roberts of Mumsnet, and Michael Hayman MBE of Seven Hills and StartUp Britain.<\/p>\n

The Startups Award winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony at the Kensington Roof Gardens on Thursday 27 November.<\/p>\n

David Lester, founder of Startups.co.uk, commented:<\/p>\n

“If you are proud of what your business has achieved then take a look at the Startups Awards– there are a wide variety of categories and the recognition gained from just taking part, let alone winning, is so valuable.<\/p>\n
