The desire and ingenuity of a franchisee should not be underestimated. While the business model may not be their own, every franchisor will tell you that the quality of the people they entrust their brand to is paramount.<\/p>\n

It is undoubtedly the individual who takes on a regional territory that makes or breaks a brand there. Blood, sweat and tears are poured into every franchise that succeeds and we’ve chosen six fiercely ambitious and hard-working people from the territorial army of franchisees dotted all over the UK.<\/p>\n

They’re busy making a small corner of Britain their own for a brand with big ambition.<\/p>\n

ActionCoach Hull<\/h3>\n

Franchisee for the Hull branch of business coaching chain ActionCoach, Pamela Featherstone is finalist for Franchisee of the Year. Feathersone bought into the franchise in 2012 and has won a raft of awards including North UK Coach and Most Improved.<\/p>\n

Driver Hire Slough<\/h3>\n

Tejwant Karir of Driver Hire is in the running to become Franchisee of the Year. Karir purchased the franchise licence for the Slough branch of transport and logistics brand Driver Hire in April 2013 and has increased turnover by 123% in the two years since.<\/p>\n

Schmidt Palmers Green<\/h3>\n

Katerina Zaravinou is vying to become Franchisee of the Year. Zaravinou became a franchisee for kitchen, bathroom and living room solutions chain Schmidt in 2012 with her Palmers Green showroom and plans to open a second showroom by 2017.<\/p>\n

Heritage Healthcare Cardiff<\/h3>\n

Franchisee Jameela Rangoonwala, owner of the Cardiff branch of homecare specialist Heritage Healthcare, is a finalist for Franchisee of the Year. Rangoonwala now employs a team of 20 and plans to expand into Swansea.<\/p>\n

Diamond Logistics Bournemouth<\/h3>\n

Courier and logistics specialist Hon Leung is finalist for Franchisee of the Year. Leung bought his Diamond Logistics franchise earlier this year and has already grown revenues to six-figures, Leung plans to purchase a second territory in Dorset.<\/p>\n

Puddle Ducks West Hertfordshire, Luton and Dunstable<\/h3>\n

Ravneet Bermi, franchisee of baby and mother swimming academy Puddle Ducks, is in the running to win the Franchisee of the Year title. Bermi bought into the chain last year and now operates a team of seven, running 42 classes a week across six different venues.<\/p>\n
