The LOVESPACE story:<\/h3>\n

A serial entrepreneur, having previously founded Streetcar (now Zipcar), Brett Akker set up LOVESPACE with former Guardian<\/em> director Steve Folwell in August 2012.<\/p>\n

Aiming to make storage accessible for everyone, the start-up applies the concept of cloud storage to the physical world and offers door-to-door collection anywhere in the UK.<\/p>\n

Unlike traditional storage services, where users have to pay for a fixed-size unit – regardless of how much space they actually use, LOVESPACE ensures customers only pay for what they need as users buy physical storage by-the-box.<\/p>\n

Prices start from as little as £1.95 per box per month with free collection and a small charge for return delivery to cover logistics costs.<\/p>\n

A real crowdfunding success story, in May this year LOVESPACE launched a £500,000 crowdfunding campaign and ended up overfunding by nearly 40%, bringing in £690,000 from over 250 investors.<\/p>\n

It has doubled its revenues year on year and is on target to reach another seven-figure sum by the end of 2016.<\/p>\n
