{"id":49594,"date":"2017-06-22T17:11:37","date_gmt":"2017-06-22T16:11:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/?p=49594"},"modified":"2017-06-22T17:11:37","modified_gmt":"2017-06-22T16:11:37","slug":"start-up-loans-company-celebrated-as-headline-sponsor-of-the-startups-awards-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/start-up-loans-company-celebrated-as-headline-sponsor-of-the-startups-awards-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Start Up Loans Company celebrated as headline sponsor of Startups Awards 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Startups.co.uk is proud to announce the Start Up Loans Company as headline sponsor of the Startups Awards 2017, the UK&rsquo;s longest running awards of its kind for the country&rsquo;s best and brightest new businesses.<\/p>\n<p>A government-backed scheme, the Start Up Loans Company enables small businesses to borrow up to &pound;25,000 via a low-interest loan and provides successful loan applicants with free mentoring from experienced advisors.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its 14th year, the Startups Awards recognises the UK&rsquo;s most exceptional, innovative, and ambitious new businesses launched in the last four years and is industry-renowned for identifying start-ups that will go on to achieve great success.<\/p>\n<p>Previous Startups Awards winners include <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/silver-fox-of-the-year-2012\/\">Joe &amp; Seph&rsquo;s Popcorn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/women-in-business-award-2015\/\">Swoon Editions<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/young-entrepreneur-year-2013\/\">MarketInvoice<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/tech-business-of-the-year-2015\/\">Purplebricks<\/a>, and last year&rsquo;s overall winner <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/sage-startups-business-of-the-year-2016\/\">Onfido<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SUPuSdvZ-zA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the Startups Awards 2017, businesses must have excellent potential, be based in the UK, privately-owned, and launched on or after August 1 2013 &ndash; and no later than July 31 2016.<\/p>\n<p>There are <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.startups.co.uk\/startups-awards\/categories\/\">14 awards categories to enter this year<\/a> including well established awards such as Innovative Business of the Year, Retail Business of the Year, Crowdfunded Business of the Year and the Woman in Business Award.<\/p>\n<p>This year, we have introduced a new awards category in partnership with the Start Up Loans Company: The Start Up Loans Inspiring Entrepreneur of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>This award is open to inspirational entrepreneurs who have received a Start Up Loan and want to share their story.
